Similar to Industrial Parks, Mariculture Parks can produce and process a variety of sustainable, low-trophic products including shellfish, and seaplants.  The cultivation of these marine crops will benefit from economies of scale by sharing professional management, security and infrastructure.  There are also advantages from vertically integrating hatchery, feed-mill, processing and packaging operations within a community-based marine coastal zone providing an economic multiplier effect.  Mariculture Parks would also foster commercial development with economical access to infrastructure support, ice plants, training and research facilities, and accessibility to input supply and export markets.
